We've all been to those family reunions things where each parent is convinced that their child is the bestest of all and is showing off to the other parents, telling them their child did this and that, etc, etc.
Like, for example, right now, every parent in the world should be jealous of mine because, as an incredibly cool and perfect daughter with the greatest life ahead of her, I am going to go on a trip with a friend, and I'm going to move out of the house - this is actually pretty much what the braging (no matter how you spell it) is about : how your child is growing up, and even better, growing straight. (this not meant in any sexual way ;))
It happens to everyone, it gets on every child's nerves - it's just that, I've been thinking, that really puts pressure on the children's shoulders. Because you have to give your parents a reason to brag all the time.
