I just got another Ally McBeal moment, as I walked to the washroom without my shoes.... I go everywhere in this office (within, say, a 100 feet radius) with my shoes off, and I just remembered that John Cage would prepare the first draft of his closing barefoot because he got a better feel or something (can't remember the exact quote).
