The first thing I asked was is this payback?

It was obvious, it was fitting, it made sense, that's what my gut was screaming and, most of all, I couldn't have expected anything else and I could take it no questions asked.

You wouldn't admit it and I tried to grasp this new concept until I finally gave in the idea of getting it at all, but now that I've realized that I should trust my gut much more than I have so far - my gut says that's what it is, and my gut says you're lying.

It's okay, you know. I never expected anything else, anything more.
