Very recently most editors at work were given a second monitor. I thought working on two screens at a time is as revolutionary as it gets, but I was wrong: the truly revolutionary bit is that my new monitor has some sort of movement detecting feature, which means that it falls asleep quite fast when I leave my office, and instantly awakes again when I come back.

It's a little freaky at first, but once the initial fear subsides, this feature means endless fun. Right now I like to tiptoe back into my office after I leave so the screen doesn't "see" me, and then make a sudden hand move towards it and pretend I'm turning it on with my mind.
