God, some people should learn to write. Seriously: how can something be LARGELY unprecedented?

Either it has precedents, or it doesn't. And if it's doesn't, you can't measure the extent to which there are NO precedent to back it up...

En ce sens, je vais y aller pour une quote prononcée par NotreMatelot il y a des siècles (ou presque) : "Ça a pas de bon sens à quel point il est mort".

Quelqu'un m'a écrit dans un courriel qu'il attendait une intervention de ma part dans des mots qui ressemblent à ceci "Il est urgent que vous interveniez le plus rapidement possible".

I'd have to say that you're mostly correct on your judgment of "largely unprecedented" but English is such a quirky language that there might be more than a little precedent for someone to say something is largely unprecedented. ;)
