I have a new cubicle neighbor, whom I didn't feel any particular interest for, for no good reason at all, I'll admit that. It was mostly because nearly each morning she's on the phone in her office seeming bitchy. As in, I can't (and don't try to) really understand what she's saying, but just the tone of it all puts me off. I was aware I was being very judgemental, but then this morning happened.

My new neighbor seemingly arrives at work in the morning just a few minutes before I do, as most morning she's making her coffee (or tea, or whatever, something that involves hot water, is all I know for sure) when I come in.

Now, I'm not a particular nice person, but every freaking morning when I come in, I stop by the kitchenette to start a full kettle of water before I head to my cubicle. So there will be hot water left for other people when I've filled my french press. Or, if someone has already heated the water, I refill the kettle after I've poured the amount I needed and start it again. You see what I mean: I make it so the next person doesn't have to wait for their hot water.

Well, this morning, when I arrived, the kettle was already on in the kitchenette. So I went to get my french press in my cubicle. As I did that, my new neighbor went to get her hot water. When I headed back to the kitchenette, she was heading back to her cubicle - with a small cup in her hand. But believe it or not, when I got to the kitchenette, the freaking kettle was EMPTY. That lady heated up just ENOUGH WATER FOR HER TINY CUP. And honestly, that pisses me off.

Sow now, ladies and gentlemen, I officially dislike her for cause.
