I couldn't have pulled you out of your world, you would have pulled me into yours. (Ally McBeal)

In a world created from scratch, I wonder how long anything can last.

In a world you make up, everything is a lie. And that big lie is your personal truth. Any sense of responsibility or of wrongdoing disappears. Alternatives don't exist - you are where you are because this is the only place you could possibly be.
This fake world is your haven, the place where everything is right - or so you think.

Remembering where the real world is may take a while, perhaps years, even if you have somebody devoted to pulling you out of your soothing world. Deciding to go back to the real world may take even longer.

First you live exclusively in your made-up world, then you start incorporating your little world in the real one.... But nobody but you can be happy surrounded by your personal truth. And I've learned it's time to demolish your fake world when you start pulling other people into it.
